Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17152

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty grants a slave some blessing and he wishes it to last, he should frequently recite 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah'." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse:
"And why, when you entered your garden, did you not say: What Allah wills (comes to pass); there is no power except with the help of Allah Almighty?" [Al-Kahf: 39]
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Khalid bin Najih, who is da'if (weak).
