Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who remembers Allah Almighty among the heedless is like one who remains patient (that is, stands firm) among those who flee (in battle)."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded it; the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat have been declared trustworthy.

Sayyiduna Ismah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The deed most beloved to Allah Almighty is 'subhat al-hadith', and the deed most hated by Allah Almighty is 'tajdif'." We said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is meant by 'subhat al-hadith'?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That some people are talking and a man is glorifying (Allah)." We said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is meant by 'tajdif'?" He said: "Some people who are in good circumstances (that is, prosperous), and their neighbour or their companion asks something of them, and they say: 'Our condition is bad', and they complain."
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains al-Fadl bin al-Mukhtar, who is da'if (weak).
