عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " ذَاكِرُ اللَّهِ - تَعَالَى - فِي الْغَافِلِينَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الصَّابِرِ فِي الْفَارِّينَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُ الْأَوْسَطِ وُثِّقُوا .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who remembers Allah Almighty among the heedless is like one who remains patient (that is, stands firm) among those who flee (in battle)."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded it; the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat have been declared trustworthy.
