بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الذِّكْرِ الْخَفِيِّ .

عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خَيْرُ الذِّكْرِ الْخَفِيُّ ، وَخَيْرُ الرِّزْقِ مَا يَكْفِي " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ لَبِيبَةَ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَقَالَ : رَوَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، قُلْتُ : وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ لَبِيبَةَ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَقَالَ : رَوَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، قُلْتُ : وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best remembrance is that which is hidden, and the best provision is that which suffices."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Labibah, whom Ibn Hibban declared trustworthy, and he said: He narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him). (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Yahya bin Ma'in declared him da'if (weak). The rest of the narrators of both reports are the narrators of the Sahih.
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Labibah, whom Ibn Hibban declared trustworthy, and he said: He narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him). وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُفَضِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ الَّتِي يَسْتَاكُ لَهَا عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ الَّتِي لَا يَسْتَاكُ لَهَا سَبْعِينَ ضِعْفًا .
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لِفَضْلِ الذِّكْرِ الْخَفِيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَسْمَعُهُ سَبْعُونَ ضِعْفًا ، فَيَقُولُ : إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَجَمَعَ اللَّهُ الْخَلَائِقَ لِحِسَابِهِمْ ، وَجَاءَتِ الْحَفَظَةُ بِمَا حَفِظُوا وَكَتَبُوا ، قَالَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ : انْظُرُوا هَلْ بَقِيَ لَهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : رَبَّنَا ، مَا تَرَكْنَا شَيْئًا مِمَّا عَلِمْنَاهُ وَحَفِظْنَاهُ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ وَكَتَبْنَاهُ ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - لَهُ : إِنَّ لَكَ عِنْدِي خَبِيئًا لَا تَعْلَمُهُ ، وَأَنَا أَجْزِيكَ بِهِ ، وَهُوَ الذِّكْرُ الْخَفِيُّ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الصَّدَفِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لِفَضْلِ الذِّكْرِ الْخَفِيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَسْمَعُهُ سَبْعُونَ ضِعْفًا ، فَيَقُولُ : إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَجَمَعَ اللَّهُ الْخَلَائِقَ لِحِسَابِهِمْ ، وَجَاءَتِ الْحَفَظَةُ بِمَا حَفِظُوا وَكَتَبُوا ، قَالَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ : انْظُرُوا هَلْ بَقِيَ لَهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : رَبَّنَا ، مَا تَرَكْنَا شَيْئًا مِمَّا عَلِمْنَاهُ وَحَفِظْنَاهُ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ وَكَتَبْنَاهُ ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - لَهُ : إِنَّ لَكَ عِنْدِي خَبِيئًا لَا تَعْلَمُهُ ، وَأَنَا أَجْزِيكَ بِهِ ، وَهُوَ الذِّكْرُ الْخَفِيُّ " .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to regard the prayer offered after using the tooth-stick (miswak) as seventy times more excellent than the prayer offered without using the tooth-stick. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The remembrance that is hidden, which no one else hears, has seventy times more excellence." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When it is the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will gather all creation for their reckoning, and a person's guardian angels will bring what they preserved and what they recorded. Allah Almighty will say to them: 'Examine whether anything of this person remains.' The angels will say: 'O our Lord, we have not left out anything of what we knew; we preserved it, counted it and recorded it.' Then the Lord will say (to that servant): 'I have with Me something stored away for you of which you are unaware (so it is mentioned in the text, though perhaps the wording should be: of which these angels are unaware), and I will reward you for it, and that thing is the hidden remembrance.'"
