Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Sawdah bint Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with her). Her brother Abd bin Zam'ah came back from Hajj and began throwing dust on his head. Later, when he accepted Islam, he said: I was foolish at the time I threw dust on my head because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had married Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her).
At-Tabarani recorded it; its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). A narration recorded by Ahmad has already passed in the chapter on the virtues of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Sawdah bint Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with her). Before that she had been married to al-Sakran bin Amr, who belonged to Banu Amir bin Lu'ayy.
At-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim bin Abdullah bin Mahdi, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy; the rest of the narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).

Abd al-Rahman bin Sabit narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to separate from Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her). He called Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) so that he could make them both witnesses to the divorce given to this lady. Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! I have no desire for this world; all I want is that on the Day of Resurrection I be gathered among your wives and that I receive the reward that they will receive.
At-Tabarani recorded it as a mursal report; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna al-Haytham (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are) Sayyiduna Abu al-Haytham (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) one divorce. She sat down on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) path, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by her, she requested the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to take her back, and that she would gift her allotted day (turn) to whichever of his wives the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wished, hoping that on the Day of Resurrection she would be raised as the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took her back and accepted this from her.
At-Tabarani recorded it, and there is weakness in its chain.
