Book of the Signs of Prophethood

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was being cupped. When he had finished, he said: "O Abdullah, take this blood away and pour it out in a place where no one can see it." The narrator says: When I was out of the sight of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I drank that blood. When I came back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Abdullah, what did you do?" He said: "I put it in a place which I think will remain hidden from people." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps you drank it?" He said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who told you to drink the blood? Woe to you from the people, and woe to the people from you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and al-Bazzar recorded it in abridged form; the narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Junayd bin al-Qasim, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had himself cupped, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take this blood and bury it in a place where it will be safe from animals, birds and people." I went away and drank it. Later I mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and al-Bazzar recorded it in abridged form, leaving out the part about the laughter; the narrators of al-Tabarani are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates about his father, Sayyiduna Malik bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him): when the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wounded on the day of the Battle of Uhud, he sucked the blood of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and swallowed it. It was said to him: "Are you drinking blood?" He said: "Yes, I am drinking the blood of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My blood has mixed with his blood; the Fire will not touch him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and I have not seen anyone in its chain whose weakness is agreed upon.

Sayyidah Salma (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the upper part of his house. He said: "O Salma, bring me water (for washing)." I brought him a vessel containing lote-tree (sidr) leaves, and I strained it for him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) knelt on a cushion stuffed with fibre, and I began pouring water over him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) washed his head, and I was watching every drop falling from his head into the vessel; it looked like a shining pearl. Then I brought water, and he washed his head. When he had finished washing his head, he said: "O Salma, pour out the water in this vessel in a place where no one will step over it." Sayyidah Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I took the vessel, drank some of that water, and poured the rest on the ground. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: "What did you do with what (water) was in the vessel?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I felt envious of the ground over it, so I drank some of it and poured the rest on the ground." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go! Allah Almighty has made your body forbidden to the Fire."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ma'mar bin Muhammad, who is kadhdhab (a liar).

Sayyidah Hakimah bint Umaymah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports this statement of her mother: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a cup made of wood in which he would urinate, and he kept that vessel under his bed. One day he got up and looked for it, but did not find it. He asked about it and said: 'Where is the cup?' The people said that the maidservant of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), whose name was Barrah and who had come with her from the land of Abyssinia, had drunk it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'She has obtained a strong barrier of protection from Hellfire.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Hanbal and Sayyidah Hakimah (may Allah be pleased with her), and both of them are thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) got up at night, went to a vessel in a corner of the house, and urinated in it. I got up at night feeling thirsty and drank what was in that vessel without knowing. In the morning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Ayman, get up and pour out what is in that vessel." I said: "By Allah, I have drunk what was in it." Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed until his back teeth became visible. Then he said: "Now you will never have pain in your stomach."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abu Malik al-Nakha'i, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Abi Mirdas al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for water for ablution, dipped his blessed hand into it and performed ablution with it. We went after that water and kept taking it and drinking it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you do what you have done?" We said: "Out of love for Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you would like Allah and His Messenger to love you too, then return the trust when you are entrusted, speak the truth when you speak, and treat well whoever lives in your neighbourhood."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ubayd bin Waqid al-Qaysi, who is da'if (weak).
