Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood between Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat are thiqat (trustworthy).
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood among his Companions. He made Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) brothers of one another, and likewise Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jaththamah (may Allah be pleased with him).
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the "Sahih".
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said: O Messenger of Allah! You have made me and Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him) brothers.
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it; the narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the "Sahih", and so are those of one of al-Tabarani's two chains.

Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ishaq al-Farwi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah, the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), was made the brother of Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him); the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood between the two of them.
In another narration, also from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), the words are: He said: Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) said about the daughter of Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him): She is my brother's daughter; the Messenger of Allah established brotherhood between me and this girl's father. The chain of both contains a narrator, Hajjaj bin Artah, and he is a mudallis (one who obscures his sources); the rest of the narrators of both narrations are the narrators of the "Sahih".
Amr bin Qays and Asal bin Ka'b, who is one of Banu Zimam, narrate that their grandfather Mazin bin Khaythamah (meaning the grandfather of Amr bin Qays): Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) sent the two of them when he had encamped between (the tribes of) al-Sakun and al-Sakasik, and he said: until the people accepted Islam and came as delegations to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood between al-Sakun and al-Sakasik.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood between Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him).
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Jisr bin Farqad, and he is da'if (weak). Other hadiths of this kind will come later.
