Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13580

Amr bin Qays and Asal bin Ka'b, who is one of Banu Zimam, narrate that their grandfather Mazin bin Khaythamah (meaning the grandfather of Amr bin Qays): Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) sent the two of them when he had encamped between (the tribes of) al-Sakun and al-Sakasik, and he said: until the people accepted Islam and came as delegations to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood between al-Sakun and al-Sakasik.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
