Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: No one was more deserving of reverence than the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote him a letter, they would write: "This is from so-and-so to the Messenger of Allah, Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)."
This narration was recorded by Imam al-Tabarani. Its chain contains a narrator, Qays bin al-Rabi', whom al-Thawri and Shu'bah declared thiqah (trustworthy) while others declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
