It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him the kunyah Abu Abd al-Rahman, even though no child had been born to him.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hamzah bin Umar al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him the kunyah Abu Salih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ya'qub bin Muhammad al-Zuhri, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), while the majority of the imams declared him da'if (weak).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Ward (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at me and saw redness in my face, so he said: "You are Abu al-Ward."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Junadah bin al-Mughallis, whom Ibn Numayr declared thiqah (trustworthy), while more than one scholar attributed lying to him.
