Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to count the bucket, the axe and the cooking pot as "ma'un". (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Abu Dawud recorded it, except that he did not report the word "fa's" (axe).
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of al-Tabarani are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyidah Hafsah bint Sirin (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said to us: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from withholding small articles of use. I asked: What is meant by small articles of use? She said: Those things that people commonly give to one another. Its chain contains Abd al-Rahman bin Amr bin Jabalah, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates (Allah Almighty says): "And they withhold small articles of use." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: It refers to giving a thing on loan for temporary use.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this statement of Allah Almighty (Allah Almighty says): "Those who are heedless of their prayers." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It refers to those who do not perform the prayers in their appointed times.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ikrimah bin Ibrahim, who is extremely da'if (weak). Various chains of this narration have already appeared in the chapter on prayer.
