عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - قَالَ : كُنَّا نَعُدُّ الْمَاعُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الدَّلْوَ وَالْفَأْسَ وَالْقِدْرَ . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ غَيْرَ قَوْلِهِ : وَالْفَأْسُ . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to count the bucket, the axe and the cooking pot as "ma'un". (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Abu Dawud recorded it, except that he did not report the word "fa's" (axe).
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of al-Tabarani are the narrators of the Sahih.
