Surah al-Qasas, and the words of Allah the Exalted: "And when Musa had completed the term"

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked Jibril: Which of the two terms did Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) complete? He said: The one that was more complete and more fulfilled."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except al-Hakim bin Aban, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
Al-Bazzar recorded it, except that he stated: It is reported from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked.

Sayyiduna Utbah bin al-Nuddar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which of the two terms did Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) complete? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one that was more virtuous and more complete. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) intended to part from Sayyiduna Shu'ayb (peace be upon him), he told his wife to ask her father to give her some of his goats by which they could make a living. So Sayyiduna Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) granted that woman this: whatever young his goats bore that year whose colour differed (from their mothers) would be given to her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every goat that passed by, Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) would strike its side with his staff, and it would give birth to a differently coloured kid. They gave birth to thirty-two young, and not one of them was fashush, or dabub, or kamshah that slips the palm, or tha'ul. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you conquer al-Sham, you will find the remnants of those goats there, and they are the Samiriyyah.
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it, except that he narrated these words: "The goats came to the trough, and Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) stood facing the trough; every goat that turned back from there, Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) struck its side, and it became pregnant, and then all those goats gave birth to young whose colour differed from their mothers, and not one of them was fashush, or dabub, or tha'ul, or kamshah that slips the palm. When you conquer al-Sham, you will find their remnants; take them, and they are the Samiriyyah." Yahya bin Bukayr said: Fashush is the one whose teat opening is wide and whose milk keeps dripping; dabub is the one that contracts its udder at the time of milking; kamshah is the one that makes milking difficult. The chain of both narrations contains Ibn Lahi'ah, in whom there is weakness, and his hadith has been graded hasan (good); the rest of the narrators of both narrations are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Which of the two terms did Sayyiduna Musa (peace and blessings be upon him) complete?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one that was more complete and more virtuous." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you are asked which of the two women Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) married, then say: the younger of the two."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ishaq bin Idris, who is matruk (abandoned). Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat as a longer narration than this, and its chain is hasan (good). In the mention of Sayyiduna Musa, the one who spoke with Allah,
this narration will come later, and he has also mentioned the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
