قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَى .

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : سَلَامٌ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَى قَالَ : هُمْ أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ [ اصْطَفَاهُمُ اللَّهُ لِنَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ] . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: (Allah Almighty says:) "And peace be upon those servants of His whom He has chosen." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: This refers to the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whom Allah Almighty chose for His Prophet.
