Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Before you leave the mosque, I will teach you a verse from a surah that was not revealed to any prophet before me except Sulayman (peace be upon him). The narrator said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to go out until he reached the threshold of the door. He said: With what do you begin your prayer and your recitation? I said: With 'Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim' (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That is it, that is it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his other foot outside as well."
Allamah al-Haythami said: Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abd al-Karim Abu Umayyah, who is da'if (weak), and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
