عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ نَظَرَ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ نَظْرَةً يُخِيفُهُ فِيهَا بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ، أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عِقَالٍ ، ضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever looks at a Muslim in a way that frightens him, and does so unjustly, Allah Almighty will put that person in fear on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Ahmad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Iqal, whom Abu Arubah declared da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ; أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَخَذَ نَعْلَيْ رَجُلٍ فَغَيَّبَهَا وَهُوَ يَمْزَحُ ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا تُرَوِّعُوا الْمُسْلِمَ ، فَإِنَّ رَوْعَةَ الْمُسْلِمِ ظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Amir bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man took another man's sandals and hid them, joking with him. This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not alarm a Muslim, for alarming a Muslim is a great wrong."
Al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Asim bin Ubaydullah, who is da'if (weak).

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه البزار فى المسند (1523)»
وَعَنْ أَبِي حَسَنٍ - وَكَانَ عَقَبِيًّا بَدْرِيًّا - قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ وَنَسِيَ نَعْلَيْهِ ، فَأَخَذَهَا رَجُلٌ فَوَضَعَهُمَا تَحْتَهُ ، فَرَجَعَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ : نَعْلَيَّ .
فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ : مَا رَأَيْنَاهُمَا ، فَقَالَ : هُوَ ذِهْ ؟ فَقَالَ : " فَكَيْفَ بِرَوْعَةِ الْمُؤْمِنِ ؟ " . فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّمَا صَنَعْتُهُ لَاعِبًا ! فَقَالَ : " فَكَيْفَ بِرَوْعَةِ الْمُؤْمِنِ ؟ " . مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), who had the honour of taking part in the Pledge of Aqabah and the Battle of Badr, narrates: Once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). A man got up and left, forgetting his sandals. Another man took those sandals and placed them under himself. Then the man returned and said: "My sandals were here." The people said: "We have not seen them." He said: "They were right here." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can a believer be alarmed? How can he be alarmed?" The man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I only did it as a joke." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can a believer be alarmed?" He said this twice, or perhaps three times.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Husayn bin Abdullah bin Ubaydullah al-Hashimi, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَخَافَ مُؤْمِنًا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لَا يُؤَمِّنَهُ مِنْ أَفْزَاعِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْوِصَابِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever frightens a believer, it becomes binding upon Allah Almighty not to protect that person from the terrors of the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Hafs al-Wisabi, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَوْ مُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يُرَوِّعَ مُسْلِمًا " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim (the narrator is unsure whether the words are:) for a believer to alarm a Muslim."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Abd al-Karim Abu Umayyah, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي مَسِيرٍ فَخَفَقَ رَجُلٌ عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ ، فَأَخَذَ رَجُلٌ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ ، فَانْتَبَهَ الرَّجُلُ فَفَزِعَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِرَجُلٍ أَنْ يُرَوِّعَ مُسْلِمًا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُ الْكَبِيرِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were travelling with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). A man began to doze on his mount, and another man took an arrow from his quiver. The man woke up and became alarmed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a man to frighten (or alarm) a Muslim."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Kabir are thiqat (trustworthy).

Hadith Takhrij «أخرجه المعجم الأوسط للطبراني برقم: 1694»
وَعَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدَ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَعَهُ قَرْنٌ ، فَأَخَذَهَا بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ : الْقَرْنُ ، فَكَأَنَّ بَعْضَ الْقَوْمِ ضَحِكَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يُرَوِّعَنَّ مُسْلِمًا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ هُوَ الْعَبْدِيَّ فَهُوَ مِنْ رِجَالِ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ هُوَ الْمَكِّيَّ فَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Sulayman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin prayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he had a qarn (perhaps a horn is meant) with him. One of those present took it. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ended the prayer with the salam, the Bedouin said: "Where is the qarn?" Some of the people laughed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day must never alarm a Muslim."
Al-Tabarani recorded it through the narration of Ibn Uyaynah from Isma'il bin Muslim. If he is al-Abdi, then he is one of the narrators of the Sahih; and if he is al-Makki, then he is da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
