بَابُ الْحَرْبِ خُدْعَةٌ

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ وَنَسَبَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى الْكَذِبِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ وَنَسَبَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى الْكَذِبِ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "War is deception."
Ahmad recorded it with two chains, one of which contains Amr bin Jabir, whom Abu Hatim declared thiqah (trustworthy), while some attributed lying to him.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "War is deception."

وَعَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ نَجَبَةَ قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ فَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ حَكِيمُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَقَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : مَحَلُّهُ الصِّدْقُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .

Al-Musayyab bin Najabah narrates: I came to Sayyiduna Imam al-Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he told me that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "War is a deception."

Sayyiduna Nubayt bin Sharit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "War is deception."

وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ فَضَالَةُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "War is deception."

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ لِيَقْتُلَهُ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ائْذَنْ لِي فَأَقُولَ ، قَالَ : " قُلْ مَا بَدَا لَكَ فَإِنَّمَا الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَى ابْنُ مَاجَهْ مِنْهُ : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " . فَقَطْ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ مَطَرُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَى ابْنُ مَاجَهْ مِنْهُ : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " . فَقَطْ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man from among his Companions to kill a man of the Jews. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, permit me to say something (contrary to fact)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say whatever you see fit, for war is deception." (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah recorded only these words from it: "War is deception."

وَعَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ " .

رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
