Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is present with a ruler should speak good, or else remain silent."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Salih bin Muhammad bin Ziyad, whom Ahmad and Ibn Adi declared thiqah (trustworthy) and a group declared da'if (weak); the rest of the narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Hurayrah! Never go in to the rulers. If you are compelled to, then do not go beyond my Sunnah, and do not be so afraid of the ruler's sword or whip that you fail to command them to fear Allah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam, who is da'if (weak). This chapter has already passed earlier, and it contains other hadiths besides this one.
