Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Abandoning the making of a will is a cause of disgrace in this world, and of fire and shameful disgrace in the Hereafter."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "It is not the right of any Muslim man to spend two black nights while he has something about which he could make a will, except that his will should be with him in written form."
Abu Ya'la recorded it in al-Kabir; its chain contains Abdullah al-Umari, in whom there is weakness, though he has been declared trustworthy; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah! So-and-so has passed away." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Was he not with us just a little while ago?" The people said: "Yes indeed!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Subhan Allah! This seems like a seizure in wrath. The deprived one is he who remains deprived of making a will." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah recorded this part of it: "The deprived one is he who remains deprived of a will."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
