عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِطَعَامٍ ، وَأَنَا مَمْلُوكٌ فَقُلْتُ : هَذِهِ صَدَقَةٌ . فَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ فَأَكَلُوا ، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ . ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِطَعَامٍ فَقُلْتُ : هَذِهِ هَدِيَّةٌ أَهْدَيْتُهَا لَكَ أُكْرِمُكَ بِهَا ، فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُكَ لَا تَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ . فَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ فَأَكَلُوا وَأَكَلَ مَعَهُمْ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with food; at that time I was someone's slave. I said: This is charity (sadaqah). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered his Companions, and they ate it, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself did not eat it. Then I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with food and said: This is a gift which I present to you, so that in this way I may honour you, because I have seen that you do not eat charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered his Companions, and they ate it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also ate it with them.
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, who is thiqah (trustworthy) and is a mudallis, and the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : كُنْتُ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ مَوْلَاتِي فِي ذَلِكَ فَطَيَّبَتْ لِي فَاحْتَطَبْتُ حَطَبًا فَبِعْتُهُ وَاشْتَرَيْتُ ذَلِكَ الطَّعَامَ .

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ عَبْدًا أَسْوَدَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَمُرُّ بِي ابْنُ السَّبِيلِ ، وَأَنَا فِي مَاشِيَةٍ لِسَيِّدِي أَفَأَسْقِي مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِهِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا " قَالَ : فَإِنِّي أَرْمِي فَأُصْمِي ، وَأُنْمِي . قَالَ : " كُلْ مَا أَصْمَيْتَ، وَدَعْ مَا أَنْمَيْتَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبَّادُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ - بِفَتْحِ الْعَيْنِ - وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبَّادُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ - بِفَتْحِ الْعَيْنِ - وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A black slave came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: A traveller passed by me while I was among my master's animals; may I give him their milk to drink without my master's permission? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! He said: When I shoot an arrow, the game either goes out of my sight or does not go out of sight. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Eat what does not go out of sight, and leave what goes out of sight.
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abbad (with a fatha on the 'ayn), whom Abu Hatim and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), whereas Musa bin Harun and others declared da'if (weak).
