Sayyiduna Umayr bin Salamah al-Damri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by al-Arj, and there was a wounded wild donkey there. After a short while a man from the tribe of Bahz came and said: O Messenger of Allah! This was wounded by my arrow; you may make use of it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he distributed it among the companions. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set off until he came to the mountain pass of "al-Uthayah", and there was a deer there with an arrow in it, lying in the shade of a rock. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered one of his Companions and said: "Stay here until all the people of the caravan have passed; let no one strike it with anything." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Ahmad has given an account of Sayyiduna Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) and has recorded this hadith among his narrations, which is why I have mentioned it here.
Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded this report from Umayr, from a man of the tribe of Bahz. The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the "Sahih".

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) to collect the zakah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions set out in a state of ihram until they halted at Usfan, where there was a wild donkey. Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, and he was not in ihram. The people lowered their heads, disliking that Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) might learn (of the game) through their glances. Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw it; he mounted his horse and took his spear, and his spear fell. He said: Hand it to me. They said: We will not help you in this. Then Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) charged at it and brought it down. The people began to roast its meat, then they said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is among us (and we have started using it without asking him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was some way ahead of them; they caught up with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him about it, and he saw no harm in it. The narrator says: I think the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you have any of it with you?" This doubt is from the narrator Ubaydullah.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
