بَابٌ فِيمَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَسِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ .

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَسِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ السَّنَةَ كُلَّهَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and fasts six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the whole year."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Jabir, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ، وَأَتْبَعَهُ بِسِتٍّ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ الدَّهْرَ كُلَّهُ " .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and then after it fasts six days of Shawwal comes out of his sins as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him."

وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَأَتْبَعَهُ سِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَذَلِكَ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ " . قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ عَشْرٌ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلِهِ : لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ عَشْرٌ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلِهِ : لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ عَشْرٌ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .

Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever fasts Ramadan and then after it fasts six days of Shawwal, that is like fasting the whole year." The narrator says: I asked: "Does this mean that for one day there will be (the reward) of ten days?" He replied: "Yes."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This report is mentioned in the Sahih, but without these words: "For each day there will be the reward of ten days. He replied: Yes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ غَنَّامٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَامَ سِتًّا بَعْدَ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ الدَّهْرَ وَالسَّنَةَ " .

Sayyiduna Ghannam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts six days after Eid al-Fitr, it is as if he fasted all time and the whole year."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. I do not know the narrator named Abd al-Rahman bin Ghannam.
