عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنِ اهْتَمَّ بِجَوْعَةِ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَأَطْعَمَهُ حَتَّى شَبِعَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَسَقَاهُ حَتَّى يُرْوَى " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ بَكْرُ بْنُ خُنَيْسٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever, out of concern for his Muslim brother's hunger, feeds him until he is full, Allah Almighty forgives him, and He will give him drink until his thirst is quenched."
Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Bakr bin Khunays, and he is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ أَطْعَمَ أَخَاهُ حَتَّى يُشْبِعَهُ وَسَقَاهُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ حَتَّى يَرْوِيَهُ بَاعَدَهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ سَبْعَ خَنَادِقَ ; مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ خَنْدَقَيْنِ خَمْسُ مِائَةِ عَامٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَطْعَمَ أَخَاهُ خُبْزًا " . وَفِيهِ رَجَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي عَطَاءٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever feeds his brother until he is full and gives him water to drink until his thirst is quenched, Allah Almighty will distance him from Hell by seven trenches, between every two trenches of which is a distance of five hundred years."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, except that there he reported these words: "Whoever feeds his brother bread." Its chain contains a narrator, Raja' bin Abi Ata', and he is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " إِدْخَالُكَ السُّرُورَ عَلَى مُؤْمِنٍ أَشْبَعْتَ جَوْعَتَهُ ، أَوْ سَتَرْتَ عَوْرَتَهُ ، أَوْ قَضَيْتَ لَهُ حَاجَةً " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Which deed is most virtuous?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bringing happiness to a believer (in that) you satisfy him when he is hungry, or provide him with clothing, or fulfil some other need of his."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Bashir al-Kindi, and he is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ أَطْعَمَ مُؤْمِنًا حَتَّى يُشْبِعَهُ مِنْ سَغَبٍ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ لَا يَدْخُلُهُ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مِثْلَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ وَاقَدٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ : كَانَ يَتْبَعُ السُّلْطَانَ ، وَكَانَ صَدُوقًا .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever feeds a believer until he satisfies him in his hunger, Allah Almighty will admit him through one of the gates of Paradise through which no one will enter except the one who has done the like of what he did."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Waqid, and there is criticism of him. Muhammad bin al-Mubarak al-Suri said: He used to frequent the ruler of the time; otherwise he is saduq (truthful).
