Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4721

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Which deed is most virtuous?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bringing happiness to a believer (in that) you satisfy him when he is hungry, or provide him with clothing, or fulfil some other need of his."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Bashir al-Kindi, and he is da'if (weak).
