Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4720

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever feeds his brother until he is full and gives him water to drink until his thirst is quenched, Allah Almighty will distance him from Hell by seven trenches, between every two trenches of which is a distance of five hundred years."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, except that there he reported these words: "Whoever feeds his brother bread." Its chain contains a narrator, Raja' bin Abi Ata', and he is da'if (weak).
