In one narration it is reported from him: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah al-Waqi'ah and other surahs like it in the Subh (dawn) prayer. Imam al-Tabarani recorded both narrations in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. The narrators of the narration about Surah Ya-Sin are the narrators of the Sahih, and the narration about Surah al-Waqi'ah contains a narrator, Ya'qub bin Humayd bin Kasib, whom a group declared da'if (weak); some said the reason for this is that the prescribed punishment (hadd) had been carried out on him. Ibn Hibban mentioned this narrator in his book al-Thiqat. The remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
