وَعَنْ رِفَاعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا تَقْرَأْ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِدُونِ عَشْرِ آيَاتٍ وَلَا تَقْرَأْ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِدُونِ عَشْرِ آيَاتٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَاخْتُلِفَ فِي الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِهِ .

Sayyiduna Rifa'ah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not recite less than ten verses in the Subh (dawn) prayer, and do not recite less than ten verses in the Isha prayer."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and there is disagreement about using him as evidence.
