It is reported from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, or perhaps Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah al-A'raf in the Maghrib prayer and divided it over the two rak'ahs.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it. The hadith of Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit is reported in the Sahih, but without these words: "he divided it over the two rak'ahs". The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.

Marwan narrates: Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit said to me, "What is the reason that I see you reciting the short surahs of the Mufassal in the prayer, whereas I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting two long surahs in this prayer?" I asked, "Which are the two long surahs?" (He said:) "Surah al-A'raf and Surah Yunus." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is mentioned in the Sahih, but Surah Yunus is not mentioned in it.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Yazid narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah al-Tin (By the fig and the olive) in the Maghrib prayer.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi; Shu'bah and Sufyan declared him thiqah (trustworthy), while the rest of the Imams declared him da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The last prayer that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed (in congregation) was the Maghrib prayer. In it he recited Surah al-A'la in the first rak'ah and Surah al-Kafirun in the second rak'ah.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Hajjaj bin Nusayr, whom Ali bin al-Madini and a group declared da'if (weak), while according to one report Yahya bin Ma'in declared him thiqah (trustworthy). Ibn Hibban also declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
