عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ أَوْ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَرَأَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِالْأَعْرَافِ فَرَّقَهَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ - وَحَدِيثُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : فَرَّقَهَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ - وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

It is reported from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, or perhaps Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah al-A'raf in the Maghrib prayer and divided it over the two rak'ahs.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it. The hadith of Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit is reported in the Sahih, but without these words: "he divided it over the two rak'ahs". The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
