Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer prayer on a mat.
Imam Ahmad and Imam Bazzar recorded it, and Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; he narrated these additional words in it: "And he used to prostrate on it." Imam Ahmad's narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. Imam Ahmad also recorded it with another chain whose narrators are the narrators of the Sahih; however, in that chain he mentioned that the narrator Sharik was in doubt whether this narration is reported from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) or from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer prayer on a mat. (Once) he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Aishah! Take up your mat; I fear that people may be put to trial (by it).
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Imam Muslim and the compilers of the Sunan recorded this narration in abridged form, on the subject of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offering prayer on a mat.
