عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَا يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنَ امْرَأَتِهِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ؟ قَالَ : " مَا فَوْقَ الْإِزَارِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Asim bin Umar narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) related: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "To what extent is it lawful for a man to be intimate with his wife while she is menstruating?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Above the waist-wrapper."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the "Sahih".

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا لِي مِنَ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ؟ قَالَ : " تَشُدُّ إِزَارَهَا ، ثُمَّ شَأْنَكَ بِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah! To what extent may I be intimate with my wife while she is menstruating?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let her tie her waist-wrapper, and then you may be with her."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Nu'aym Dirar bin Surad, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سُئِلَ : مَا يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنَ امْرَأَتِهِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ؟ قَالَ : " مَا فَوْقَ الْإِزَارِ ، وَمَا تَحْتَ الْإِزَارِ مِنْهَا حَرَامٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، لَمْ يَرْوِ عَنْهُ غَيْرُ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، وَأَيْضًا فَلَمْ يُدْرِكْ عُبَادَةَ .
Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: When a woman is in a state of menstruation, what may a man do with her? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What is above the waist-wrap; what is below the waist-wrap is forbidden.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ishaq bin Yahya, from whom no one other than Musa bin Uqbah narrated, and there is also the aspect that he did not meet the time of Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَصَبْتُ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ، فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ يُعْتِقَ نَسَمَةً ، وَقِيمَةُ النَّسَمَةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ دِينَارٌ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ خَلَا عِتْقِ النَّسَمَةِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I had intercourse with my wife during her menstruation. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to free a soul (the narrator says:) and in those days the value of a soul was one dinar.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) Imam al-Tirmidhi has also recorded this narration, and others have recorded it too, but they did not mention freeing a soul.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid bin Tamim, and he is da'if (weak).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : بَيْنَا أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مُضَاجِعَةٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِذْ قَامَتْ كَأَنَّهَا مُسْتَخْفِيَةٌ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا لَكِ ، نَفِسْتِ ؟ " قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا بَأْسَ ، خُذِي عَلَيْكِ وُضُوءَكِ ، ثُمَّ ارْجِعِي إِلَى مَكَانِكِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْحَنَفِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Once, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was lying beside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at night. Meanwhile she quickly got up, as though she were apprehensive. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What is the matter with you? Has your menstruation begun? She replied: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no harm. Use your cloth, and then come back to your place.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Husayn bin Isa al-Hanafi, whom Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared "da'if (weak)", while Ibn Hibban declared him "thiqah (trustworthy)".

Hadith Takhrij «أخرجه المعجم الكبير للطبراني برقم: 11602»
وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَتَّقِي سَوْرَةَ الدَّمِ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ .
قُلْتُ : لَهَا حَدِيثٌ عِنْدَ ابْنِ مَاجَهْ وَغَيْرِهِ خَلَا قَوْلِهَا : يَتَّقِي سَوْرَةَ الدَّمِ ثَلَاثًا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ شُعْبَةُ ، وَاخْتُلِفَ فِي الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِهِ .
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be cautious for three days because of the heaviness of the blood; after that he would have physical contact. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: From her,
this narration has also been recorded by Imam Ibn Majah and others, but it does not contain these words: "He would avoid the blood for three days".
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Sa'id bin Bashir, whom Shu'bah declared "thiqah (trustworthy)", and there is disagreement about using him as evidence.
