بَابٌ فِي دَمِ الْحَائِضِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ .

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتَ يَسَارٍ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، لَيْسَ لِي إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ ، وَأَنَا أَحِيضُ فِيهِ . قَالَ : " فَإِذَا طَهُرْتِ فَاغْسِلِي مَوْضِعَ الدَّمِ ، ثُمَّ صَلِّي فِيهِ " . قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنْ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ أَثَرُهُ ؟ قَالَ : " يَكْفِيكِ الْمَاءُ ، وَلَا يَضُرُّكِ أَثَرُهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Khawlah bint Yasar came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have only one garment, and I menstruate in it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you become pure, wash the place of the blood and then pray in that garment. She said: O Messenger of Allah! What if its trace does not go away? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The water is sufficient for you, and its trace will not harm you.
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and he is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ حَكِيمٍ قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَحِيضُ وَلَيْسَ لِي إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ . قَالَ : " اغْسِلِيهِ وَصَلِّي فِيهِ " . قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهُ يَتَعَاقَبُهُ أَثَرُ الدَّمِ . قَالَ : " لَا يَضُرُّكِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْوَازِعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyidah Khawlah bint Hakim (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said: O Messenger of Allah! I menstruate, and I have only one garment. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wash it and pray in it. I said: O Messenger of Allah! The trace of blood will remain after that. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It will not harm you. Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Wazi' bin Nafi', and he is da'if (weak).
وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا تَحِيضُ فِي الثَّوْبِ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ طُهْرِهَا غَسَلَتْ مَا أَصَابَهُ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّتْ فِيهِ ، وَإِنَّ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الْيَوْمَ تُفَرِّغُ خَادِمَهَا لِغَسْلِ ثِيَابِهَا يَوْمَ طُهْرِهَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: One of us women would menstruate in her clothes; then, when the day of her purity came, she would wash whatever had got on that garment and then pray in that same garment. And today your state is such that one of you women keeps her maidservant reserved for this task alone on the day of her purity, so that she may wash her (menstrual) clothes.
