Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Once, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was lying beside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at night. Meanwhile she quickly got up, as though she were apprehensive. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What is the matter with you? Has your menstruation begun? She replied: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no harm. Use your cloth, and then come back to your place.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Husayn bin Isa al-Hanafi, whom Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared "da'if (weak)", while Ibn Hibban declared him "thiqah (trustworthy)".
