Abd al-Rahman bin al-Baylamani narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) sitting at al-Maqa'id, performing ablution. A man passed by him and greeted him with peace, but he did not reply to him. When he had finished his ablution, he came into the mosque, stopped by that man and said: The only reason I did not reply to you is that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever, while performing ablution, washes both hands, then rinses his mouth three times, puts water in his nose three times, washes his face three times, washes both arms up to the elbows, wipes his head, and washes both feet, and then, before speaking, recites: 'I bear witness that there is no god except Allah Almighty, He is One, He has no partner, and that Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger' (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) then (the sins) between his two ablutions are forgiven for him."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Baylamani, whose weakness is agreed upon.

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution and, after finishing his ablution, recites: 'I bear witness that there is no god except Allah Almighty, and I bear witness that Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, make me among those who repent, and make me among those who purify themselves well' (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:) the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, so that he may enter (Paradise) through whichever (gate) he wishes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir in abridged form. In al-Mu'jam al-Awsat he says: The narrator Miswar bin Muwarri' is alone in narrating it. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I have not found anyone who gave an account of him. Its chain contains a narrator, Ahmad bin Suhayl al-Warraq, whom Ibn Hibban mentioned in the book "al-Thiqat". The chain in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir contains a narrator, Abu Sa'id al-Baqqal, whom most declared da'if (weak), while some declared him thiqah (trustworthy).

Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah reports from his father, from his grandfather, who said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution washing each part once, and then said: This is the ablution without which Allah Almighty does not accept the prayer. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution washing each part twice and said: Whoever performs ablution like this, Allah Almighty grants him double reward. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution washing each part three times and said: This is performing ablution thoroughly, and this is my ablution and the ablution of the intimate friend (Khalil) of Allah Almighty, Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Whoever performs ablution like this and then recites: 'I bear witness that there is no god except Allah Almighty, He is One, He has no partner, and that Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger' (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:) the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, so that he may enter through whichever of them he wishes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and said: The narrator Marhum narrated
it in this way from Abd al-Rahim bin Zayd, from his father, from Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah, from his father, from his grandfather, whereas another narrator reported it from Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah, from Ibn Amr, and from Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah, from Ubayd bin Umayr, from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator Abd al-Rahim bin Zayd is matruk (abandoned), and there is disagreement about his father.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf will have light on the Day of Resurrection as great as the distance from his dwelling to Makkah; whoever recites its last ten verses, then even if the Dajjal emerges, he will not be able to harm him; and whoever, after performing ablution, recites these words: 'You are free from every imperfection, O Allah, and with Your praise (we affirm Your purity); there is no god besides You; I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You' (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:) these words will be written on a scroll and a seal will be placed on it, which will not be broken until the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him), after recording this narration in his book "al-Yawm wa al-Laylah", said: This is a mistake; what is correct is that
it is mawquf (stopping at the Companion). Then he recorded it via Sufyan al-Thawri and Ghundar, from Shu'bah, as a mawquf narration.
