Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are a messenger to the people of Makkah! Tell them: Indeed the Messenger of Allah conveys his greetings of peace to you and commands you to do three things: do not swear oaths by other than Allah; when you relieve yourselves, do not face the qiblah nor turn your backs to it; and do not cleanse yourselves with bone or with dung.
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Karim bin Abi al-Mukhariq, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Jaz' al-Zubaydi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) urinating while facing the qiblah, and I was the first to tell people about this. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah recorded from this Companion that he was the first person to hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid this, and this indicates that it was abrogated.
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, who is da'if (weak).

Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that the case of al-Tabarani's teacher and his teacher's teacher is different; nevertheless, both of them are thiqah (trustworthy).
