Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "While I was sitting, Jibril came and struck me between my shoulders. I got up and went to a tree in which there were two things like birds' nests. He sat in one of them and I sat in the other. It set off and began to rise until it covered the distance between the earth and the sky. I could blink my eyes, and had I wished to touch the sky, I could have touched it. Jibril turned towards me, and his state was like that of an old cloth spread on the ground, so I realized that he had superiority over me in knowledge of Allah Almighty. Then one of the gates of heaven was opened, and I saw the greatest light, and there, before the veil, was a throne made of pearls and rubies. Then Allah Almighty revealed to me what He willed."
Imam al-Bazzar and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: On the night the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken on the Mi'raj, he was staying at my house. During the night I found him missing, and I could not sleep the whole night out of fear that someone from Quraysh might have harmed him. (When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came,) he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me, took my hand and led me outside. Outside the house there was an animal, somewhat smaller than a mule and somewhat larger than a donkey. Jibril mounted me on it and set off, until we reached Bayt al-Maqdis. He showed me Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him); his outward form resembles my outward form, and my character resembles his character. Jibril showed me Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), a tall man of wheatish complexion with straight hair, who resembled the men of the Azd Shanu'ah tribe. Jibril also showed me Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him); he was of medium height and of white complexion tinged with red; I can liken him to Urwah bin Mas'ud al-Thaqafi. Jibril also showed me the Dajjal, whose right eye was missing; I can liken him to Qatan bin Abd al-Uzza." (Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her):) "Now I am going to Quraysh, and I will tell them about what I have seen." (Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates:) I took hold of his (peace and blessings be upon him) garment and said: "I adjure you by Allah: if you go to your people, they will call you a liar and deny what you say, and I fear that they may harm you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) freed his garment from my hand and went to them. They were sitting, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told them the same thing that he (peace and blessings be upon him) had told me. Then Jubayr bin Mut'im stood up and said: "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! If you were young as you used to be, you would not have said what you have said while living among us."
A man among those present said: "O Sayyiduna Muhammad! Did you also pass by our camels at such-and-such a place?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes! By Allah, I found them; one of their camels had gone missing and they were searching for it." The man asked: "Did you also pass by the camels of Banu so-and-so?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes! I found them at such-and-such a place; their red she-camel had broken (its neck). I found that they had a bowl of water with them, and I drank that water." They said: "Tell us how many (camels) there were, and how many herders were with them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At that time I did not count them." But then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, and that scene came before him; he counted the camels and learned about the herders with them. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Quraysh and said to them: "You asked me about the camels of Banu so-and-so: they are so many, and with them are so many herders, namely so-and-so and so-and-so. And you asked me about the camels of Banu so-and-so: they are so many, and with them are so many herders: the son of Abu Quhafah, and so-and-so and so-and-so. They will appear before you at the mountain pass tomorrow morning." The narrator says: So they sat by that mountain pass watching, (to see) whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had told them the truth. The camels came before them, and the polytheists asked those people: "Did a camel of yours go missing?" They replied: "Yes!" Then the polytheists asked the other people: "Did your red she-camel break (its neck)?" They replied: "Yes!" The polytheists asked: "Did you have a bowl?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "By Allah! I placed it there myself, and no one drank from it, nor did anyone pour it out on the ground (yet its water had gone down)." So Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) affirmed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in this and believed in him, and on that day he was named "al-Siddiq".
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-A'la bin Abi al-Musawir, who is matruk (abandoned) and a kadhdhab (liar).

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: After the dawn prayer the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: "I have seen a dream that is true, so remember it. A man came to me, took my hand and set off with me until he came to a tall, rugged mountain. He said to me: Climb it. I said: I cannot do that. He said: I will make it easy for you. When I began to climb, my foot would land on a step, until we reached the top of the mountain. We were walking along when some men and women came before us whose cheeks had been split. I asked: Who are these people? He said: These are those who used to say things of which they had no knowledge. Then we went on until some men and women came before us whose eyes and ears were fixed. I asked: Who are these people? He said: These are those who used to make their eyes see what they had not seen (that is, they related false dreams) and make their ears hear what they had not heard (that is, they falsely claimed to have heard something). Then we went on until some women came before us who were hung by their heels, their heads downward, with snakes biting their breasts. I asked: Who are these? (The angel) said: These are the women who would not let their children drink their milk." (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:) "Then we went on, and some men and women came before us who were hung by their heels, their heads downward, licking a little water and mud. I asked: Who are these? He said: These are those who used to fast and then end their fast before the time of breaking it had come. Then we went on, and some men and women came before us whose appearance was extremely ugly, whose clothing was extremely ugly and whose smell was extremely foul, as if their smell were the smell of latrines. I asked: Who are these people? He said: These are the men who commit fornication and the women who commit fornication. Then we went on, and some dead bodies came before us, extremely swollen and extremely foul-smelling. I asked: Who are these people? He said: These are the dead of the disbelievers. Then we went on until we saw smoke and heard howling. I asked: What is this? He said: This is Hell; leave it. Then we went on, and some people came before us sleeping in the shade of a tree. I asked: Who are these people? He said: These are the deceased of the Muslims. Then we went on, and some boys and girls came before us, playing between two rivers. I asked: Who are these? He said: These are the offspring of the believers (that is, the children of Muslims who died in childhood). Then we went on, and some people came before us whose faces were beautiful, whose clothing was beautiful and whose fragrance was most pure; their faces seemed like qirtas (this can mean paper, or a particular Egyptian cloth). I asked: Who are these? He said: These are the truthful (siddiqun), the martyrs and the righteous. Then we went on, and three people came before us who were drinking a drink and reciting something (melodiously). I asked: Who are these? He said: These are Zayd bin Harithah, Ja'far (al-Tayyar) and Ibn Rawahah. I began to move towards them, and they (that is, the angels) said: We will take you along, we will take you along. I raised my head, and there were three people beneath the Throne. I asked: Who are these? He said: This is your forefather Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) and Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him), and they are waiting for you." (The narrator says:) May the mercies of Allah Almighty descend upon them all.

Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla narrates: Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) brought al-Buraq to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mounted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on it. When it reached a low-lying place, its forelegs would become long and its hind legs short, and when it came to a high place, its forelegs would become short and its hind legs long, so that it stayed level. Then a man appeared before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the right and called out to him: "O Sayyiduna Muhammad! Come this way!" He said this twice. Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Keep going and do not speak!" Then on the left side of the road a man appeared before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Sayyiduna Muhammad! Come this way!" Sayyiduna Jibril said to him (peace and blessings be upon him): "Keep going! And do not speak to anyone!" Then a beautiful, lovely woman appeared before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do you know who the man on the right side of the road was?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "No!" Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) said: "Those were the Jews, inviting you to their religion." Then Sayyiduna Jibril asked him: "Do you know who the man was who was calling you from the left side of the road?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "No!" Sayyiduna Jibril said: "Those were the Christians, calling you to their religion. Do you know who that beautiful, lovely woman was?" Sayyiduna Jibril said: "That was the world, calling you to itself." Then we went on until we came to Bayt al-Maqdis. Some people were sitting there, and they said: "Welcome to the unlettered Prophet (al-nabi al-ummi)!" Among the people sitting was an elderly man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who is this?" Sayyiduna Jibril said: "This is your forefather, Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Who is this?" Sayyiduna Jibril said: "This is Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Who is this?" He said: "This is Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him)." Then the prayer was established, and they put the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forward (to lead it). Then the angels brought some drinks, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) chose the milk. Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) said: "You have followed the fitrah (natural disposition)." Then it was said to him: "Rise and present yourself before your Lord." He rose and went in. When he came back, he was asked: "What did you do (that is, what happened with you)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fifty prayers have been made obligatory upon my Ummah." Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) said to him: "Go back to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your Ummah, for your Ummah will not have the strength for this." He went back, and when he came, Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) asked him: "What happened?" He said: "The Lord has changed them to twenty-five." Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) said to him: "Go back to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your Ummah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went back and came again, until the Lord made five prayers obligatory. Then Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) said to him: "Go back to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your Ummah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because of going back again and again, I now feel shy before my Lord, while my Lord has said to me: 'For every time I sent you back, I give you in return the right to one request, which I will fulfil.'"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat in this way as a "mursal" narration, and he says: This narration is transmitted from Ibn Abi Layla only with this chain. Besides the "irsal" (missing link) in it, its chain also contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Suhayb bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: (On the night of the Mi'raj) when water, then wine, and then milk were presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he took the milk. Sayyiduna Jibril said to him: "You have reached the fitrah (natural disposition); by it every animal is nourished. Had you taken the wine, you would have gone astray and your Ummah would have gone astray, and you would have become a dweller of this place." He pointed with his hand towards the "valley" which was named the Valley of Hell. I looked at it, and it was blazing.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah.

The two of them flew with him (peace and blessings be upon him) until he reached the seven heavens. When he came back, he said: "In the upper heavens, along with much glorification, I heard this glorification: 'The upper heavens glorify the One possessed of awe, fearing the One possessed of loftiness for the loftiness that is His; He is free of every defect, and high and exalted.'"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Miskin bin Maymun. Imam al-Dhahabi mentioned this narration in connection with him and said: It is munkar (rejected).
