وَعَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ : أَدْرَكْتُ ثَمَانِيَ سِنِينَ مِنْ حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؛ وُلِدْتُ عَامَ أُحُدٍ .
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ : قَالَ أَبِي : قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا ثَابِتٌ الْكُوفَةَ ، فَنَزَلَ مَدِينَةَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، فَذَهَبْتُ أَنَا وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ فَسَمِعْنَا مِنْهُ أَحَادِيثَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ : قَالَ أَبِي : قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا ثَابِتٌ الْكُوفَةَ ، فَنَزَلَ مَدِينَةَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، فَذَهَبْتُ أَنَا وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ فَسَمِعْنَا مِنْهُ أَحَادِيثَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I lived through eight years of the blessed life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); I was born in the year of the Battle of Uhud. Abdullah, the son of Imam Ahmad, says: My father said: Thabit came to us in Kufah and stayed in the city built by (the Abbasid caliph) Abu Ja'far (al-Mansur). Yahya bin Ma'in and I went, and we heard hadith from him.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
