Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent (as a prophet), I was a boy, and I used to carry meat from the low ground up to the mountain.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Mahdi bin Imran narrated it; al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This narrator is not corroborated in his narration from Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him), and he mentioned a hadith of his stating that the Dajjal is Ibn Sayyad. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I do not know what al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) meant: whether he is not corroborated in that one hadith alone, or whether he meant all the hadith narrated by this narrator. The other narrator is Khalid bin Abi Yahya; I have not found anyone who mentions him.
