وَعَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ : أَدْرَكْتُ ثَمَانِيَ سِنِينَ مِنْ حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَوُلِدْتُ عَامَ أُحُدٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ثَابِتُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ فِي الْكَامِلِ ، وَلَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ فِيهِ بِكَلِمَةٍ ، وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ وَقَالَ : رُبَّمَا أَخْطَأَ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَشُيُوخُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ثَابِتُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ فِي الْكَامِلِ ، وَلَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ فِيهِ بِكَلِمَةٍ ، وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ وَقَالَ : رُبَّمَا أَخْطَأَ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَشُيُوخُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I lived through eight years of the blessed life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); I was born in the year of the Battle of Uhud.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Thabit bin al-Walid bin Abdullah bin Jumay'; Ibn Adi mentioned him in "al-Kamil" but said nothing about him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat" and said: He sometimes made mistakes. Ahmad narrated from him, and his teachers are thiqat (trustworthy).
