عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا تَسُبُّوا الْأَئِمَّةَ وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ لَهُمْ بِالصَّلَاحِ فَإِنَّ صَلَاحَهُمْ لَكُمْ صَلَاحٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُصْعَبٍ الْأَسْنَانِيِّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُصْعَبٍ الْأَسْنَانِيِّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not speak ill of the rulers; pray to Allah Almighty for their betterment, for their betterment will be your betterment."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir from his teacher al-Husayn bin Muhammad bin Mus'ab al-Asnani; I do not know him, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
