وَعَنْ أَبِي مُصْبِحٍ قَالَ : جَلَسْتُ إِلَى نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِيهِمْ شَدَّادُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ وَثَوْبَانُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُمْ يَتَذَاكَرُونَ ، فَقَالُوا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمُنَافِقٌ " . قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ يَكُونُ مُنَافِقًا وَهُوَ يُؤْمِنُ بِكَ ؟ قَالَ : " يَلْعَنُ الْأَئِمَّةَ وَيَطْعَنُ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ الشَّامِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .

Abu Musbih narrates: I was sitting with some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), among whom were Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). They were conversing together. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man will do such-and-such good deeds, while he is a hypocrite." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! How will he be a hypocrite when he also believes in you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will curse the rulers and revile them."
