وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ( أَوْ أَثَارَةٍ مِنْ عِلْمٍ قَالَ : " الْخَطُّ " ) .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said (the narrator Sufyan says: to my knowledge he narrated this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)): (Allah, the Exalted, says in the Qur'an:) "Or a remnant of knowledge." This refers to drawing lines (that is, geomancy).
