عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " قَدْ كَانَ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ يَخُطُّ ، فَمَنْ وَافَقَ خَطُّهُ ذَلِكَ الْخَطَّ عَلِمَ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ أَبِي الصَّبَاحِ : مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ ، وَأَبُو الصَّبَاحِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ ، وَقَالَ : يُخْطِئُ وَيُخَالِفُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ أَبِي الصَّبَاحِ : مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ ، وَأَبُو الصَّبَاحِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ ، وَقَالَ : يُخْطِئُ وَيُخَالِفُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of the prophets used to draw lines (that is, make calculations by means of geomancy). (In the present time,) if someone's line (that is, his method of calculation) agrees with his line, then he gains knowledge."
Al-Bazzar narrated it from his teacher Abu al-Sabbah Muhammad bin al-Layth. Ibn Hibban mentioned Abu al-Sabbah Muhammad bin al-Layth in his book al-Thiqat and said: "He makes mistakes and (also) narrates contrary (to other narrators)." The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
