بَابُ الْخِلَافَةِ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَالنَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لَهُمْ .

وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ - وَهُوَ عَدْلٌ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يَزَالُ وَالٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ سُنَيْدٌ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَقَدْ تُكُلِّمَ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهَذَا مِنْهَا ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ سُنَيْدٌ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَقَدْ تُكُلِّمَ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهَذَا مِنْهَا ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said on the pulpit: Al-Dahhak bin Qays narrated this hadith to me, and he is a man of integrity in himself, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The ruler will always be from Quraysh."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Sunayd, who is thiqah (trustworthy); his narration from Hajjaj bin Sulayman has been criticized,
and this narration is one of those. And Allah knows best.
