بَابُ الْخِلَافَةِ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَالنَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لَهُمْ .

وَعَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، وَكَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، وَعَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ خِيَارَ أَئِمَّةِ قُرَيْشٍ خِيَارُ أَئِمَّةِ النَّاسِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna al-Harith bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Kathir bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Amr bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) report that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best rulers of Quraysh will be the best rulers of the people."
