Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 789

Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mu'adh! Indeed, the Qur'an restrains the believer from many of the desires of his self."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Amr bin al-Husayn, who is matruk (abandoned).
