Sayyiduna Sa'd bin al-Midhas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever has knowledge of something should not conceal it. And whoever's eyes shed tears out of fear of Allah Almighty, it will not be lawful for that person ever to enter Hell, except for fulfilling the word of the Most Merciful. And whoever attributes a lie to me should be ready to reach a house in Hell."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Sulayman bin Abd al-Hamid; al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says: He is a kadhdhab (liar). Ibn Abi Hatim says: He is saduq (truthful). Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
