Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a shoulder (bone of an animal) and said: "Bring me a shoulder (i.e. an animal's shoulder blade) so that I may write for you a document; you will never disagree after me." Then talk broke out among the people who were with him. One of the women present said: "Woe to you! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has given you an instruction." Someone among those present said: "Keep quiet! You have no sense." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You all have no understanding." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The beginning part of it is recorded in the "Sahih".
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Layth bin Abi Sulaym, who is a mudallis, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
