عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَا : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَعْصُوبًا رَأْسُهُ ، فَرَقِيَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذِهِ الْكُتُبُ الَّتِي يَبْلُغُنِي أَنَّكُمْ تَكْتُبُونَهَا ، أَكِتَابٌ مَعَ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ؟ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَغْضَبَ اللَّهُ لِكِتَابِهِ ، فَيُسْرَى عَلَيْهِ لَيْلًا ; فَلَا يَتْرُكُ فِي وَرَقَةٍ وَلَا فِي قَلْبٍ مِنْهُ حَرْفًا إِلَّا ذَهَبَ بِهِ " ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ مَنْ حَضَرَ الْمَجْلِسَ : فَكَيْفَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ؟ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَرَادَ اللَّهَ بِهِ خَيْرًا أَبْقَى فِي قَلْبِهِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عِيسَى بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عِيسَى بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: (Once) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us with a cloth bound around his head. He (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and said: "What is the matter with these writings which, as has reached me, you are noting down? Will something be noted down alongside the Book of Allah? Soon Allah Almighty will become angry for the sake of His Book, and then it will be taken away by night, so that He (Allah Almighty) will not leave a single letter of it in any page or in any heart without taking it away." One of those present said: "O Messenger of Allah! Then what will become of the believing men and the believing women?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever Allah Almighty intends good for, He will leave La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) remaining in his heart."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Isa bin Maymun al-Wasiti, who is matruk (abandoned), though Hammad bin Salamah declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
