وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حَيْدَةَ أَيْضًا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ لِفَاسِقٍ غِيبَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَزْدِيُّ .

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no backbiting (ghibah) regarding an open sinner (fasiq)."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Ala' bin Bishr, whom al-Azdi declared da'if (weak).
